Making the Cordial: Place all the items inside a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring to dissolve. Then, remove from the stove allowing it to cool down entirely. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to one month.
Preparing the Premix: Pour all the liquids into a big jug, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it , ideally through a fine cloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the premix into your mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate gently for one minute to chill. Pour into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a light spray with the mandarin essence over the drink.
